Nowhere has Luke mentioned about Zacchaeus having regretted his job anytime. And he might have moved in the then high social circles and entertained the Roman officials by dining and wining with them. They have all been the same everywhere in all ages. Would such a bold move by Zacchaeus have similarly stunned the crowd around Jesus? Since this insight was rearranging my entire childhood self-understanding, I decided to probe a little further into so translation issues and found another stunning, Greek Geek insight.
